Dosage Forms and Strengths

Oral Solution

• (21.5mg/1.87g/1.87g)/5mL

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Nausea

• Indicated for relief of upset stomach associated with nausea
• Children 2-12 years: 5-10 mL orally; may repeat every 15 minutes until symptoms subsides
• Children under 2 years: Safety and efficacy not established
• Not indicated for use in adults
• For maximum effectiveness do not dilute or drink fluids of any kind immediately before or after taking this product

This medication contains phosphoric acid/dextrose/fructose. Do not take Children's Emetrol if you are allergic to phosphoric acid/dextrose/fructose or any ingredients contained in this drug.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Cautions

• Diabetes; product contains sugar
• Antacids may alter gastric pH and interfere with absorption of some concurrent medications
• Discontinue and contact physician if symptoms persist, return, or worsen

Pregnancy and Lactation

Use phosphoric acid/dextrose/fructose with caution during pregnancy if benefits outweigh risks. Animal studies show risk and human studies are not available or neither animal nor human studies were done.

It is unknown if phosphoric acid/dextrose/fructose is distributed in human breast milk.
