Are Eucrisa and Dupixent the Same Thing?
Eucrisa (crisaborole) ointment and Dupixent (dupilumab) injection are indicated for topical treatment of atopic dermatitis (eczema) in patients 2 years of age and older.
A difference is Eucrisa is used to treat mild to moderate atopic dermatitis and Dupixent is used to treat moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.

Common side effects of Dupixent include:
- injection site reactions,
- pink eye (conjunctivitis),

- other herpes simplex virus infection, and
- dry eye.
What is Eucrisa?
Eucrisa (crisaborole) ointment, 2%, for topical use is a phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor indicated for topical treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in patients 2 years of age and older.
What is Dupixent?
Dupixent (dupilumab) injection is aninterleukin-4 receptor alpha-antagonist indicated for the treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis whose disease is not adequately controlled with topical prescription therapies or when those therapies are not advisable. Dupixent can be used with or without topical corticosteroids.

How Should Dupixent Be Taken?
The recommended dose of Dupixent is an initial dose of 600 mg (two 300 mg injections in different injection sites), followed by 300 mg given every other week.
