Temporary Relief of Corneal Edema

Ophthalmic solution: Instill 1-2 gtt in affected eye(s) q3-4h or as directed by physician

Ophthalmic ointment: Pull down lower lid of affected eye(s); apply a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment to inside of eyelid; apply once daily or as directed by physician

 

Administration

Ophthalmic ointment recommended for nighttime use; preservative free formulation

Ophthalmic solution recommended for daytime use

Avoid contamination do not touch tip of container to any surface; replace cap after use

Hypersensitivity to any component of the product

 

Cautions

Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy

If condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours or if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye consult a physician

 

Pregnancy and lactation

Pregnant or breastfeeding patients should seek advice of health care provider before using OTC drugs

Lactation: Consult a health care provider before using in breast-feeding women.

 

Pregnancy categories

A: Generally acceptable. Controlled studies in pregnant women show no evidence of fetal risk.
