Reblozyl (luspatercept-aamt) and Revlimid (lenalidomide) are used to treat anemia associated with different conditions.

Reblozyl is used to treat anemia in adult patients with beta thalassemia who require regular red blood cell (RBC) transfusions.

Revlimid is used to treat patients with anemia and multiple myeloma. Revlimid is also used in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome and may also be used for other purposes not listed.

Reblozyl is an erythroid maturation agent and Revlimid is a thalidomide analogue.

Side effects of Reblozyl and Revlimid that are similar include headache, joint pain, diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue/tiredness.

Side effects of Reblozyl that are different from Revlimid include bone pain, cough, abdominal pain, dizziness, influenza, high blood pressure (hypertension), high uric acid levels in the blood, and viral upper respiratory tract infection.

Side effects of Revlimid that are different from Reblozyl include constipation, dry or itchy skin, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle pain.

• pulmonary embolism,
• increased risk of death in people who have chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL),
• risk of new cancers (malignancies),
• serious allergic reactions and serious skin reactions,
• worsening of your tumor, and
• thyroid problems
