Cosentyx (secukinumab) for Injection and Taltz (ixekizumab) injection are human monoclonal antibodies to interleukin-17A used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adult patients who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

Side effects of Cosentyx and Taltz that are similar include sore throat and nose, upper respiratory tract infection, sinus infection (sinusitis), stuffy or runny nose, and fungal infections (ringworm, athlete's foot and jock itch).

Side effects of Cosentyx that are different from Taltz include diarrhea, oral herpes, hives, tonsillitis, oral thrush, impetigo, inflammatory bowel disease, ear infection, eye infection or inflammation (conjunctivitis), increased liver transaminases, and low white blood cell count (neutropenia).

Side effects of Taltz that are different from Cosentyx include injection site reactions (redness, pain) and nausea.

Both Cosentyx and Taltz may interact with warfarin, cyclosporine, and "live" vaccines.

Common side effects of Cosentyx include:

• tonsillitis,

Cosentyx (secukinumab) for Injection is a human interleukin-17A antagonist used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adult patients who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

Taltz (ixekizumab) injection is a humanized interleukin-17A antagonist indicated for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

Cosentyx may interact with warfarin, cyclosporine, or "live" vaccines. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use and all vaccines you recently received. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant before using Cosentyx. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Taltz may interact with "live" vaccines, warfarin, and cyclosporine. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use and all vaccines you recently received.

The recommended dose of Cosentyx is 300 mg by subcutaneous injection at Weeks 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 followed by 300 mg every 4 weeks. Each 300 mg dose is given as 2 subcutaneous injections of 150 mg.

The recommended dose of Taltz is 160 mg (two 80 mg injections) at Week 0, followed by 80 mg at Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12, then 80 mg every 4 weeks.
