Definition of Cedar fever (Mountain)

Cedar fever: a term used to refer to a seasonal allergic reaction to pollen produced by Mountain Cedar trees. The condition produces symptoms typical of those seen with other seasonal allergies, including runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, nasal congestion, sore throat, and sneezing. Fever is usually not present. Cedar allergies cause the most symptoms in the months from December to February. Cedar fever is common in central Texas.
