What Is Obredon?
Obredon (hydrocodone bitartrate and guaifenesin) Oral Solution is a combination opioid antitussive and expectorant used for symptomatic relief of cough and to loosen mucus associated with the common cold.
What Are Side Effects of Obredon?
Common side effects of Obredon include:
- headache
- dizziness
- sedation
- drowsiness
- lightheadedness
- nausea
- diarrhea
- decreased blood pressure, and
- hot flashes
Dosage for Obredon
The recommended adult dose of Obredon is 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 6 doses (60 mL) in 24 hours. Obredon may interact with opioids, antihistamines, antipsychotics, anti-anxiety agents, other CNS depressants, MAOIs, and anticholinergics. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use.

Obredon During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
During pregnancy, Obredon should be taken only if prescribed. Hydrocodone passes into breast milk. Obredon is not recommended for use while breastfeeding. Withdrawal symptoms may occur if you suddenly stop taking this medication.

Use of hydrocodone bitartrate is associated with the following:
