Emend (fosaprepitant dimeglumine injection) is a substance P/neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist that works by blocking one of the body's natural substances (substance P/neurokinin 1) that causes vomiting and is used together with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by cancer chemotherapy.
