Are Feldene and Zipsor, Zorvolex the Same Thing?
Feldene (piroxicam) and Zipsor and Zorvolex (diclofenac) are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used to relieve mild to moderate acute pain.
Feldene is primarily used to relieve the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Side effects of Feldene and Zipsor and Zorvolex that are similar include fluid retention, stomach/abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, indigestion/heartburn, gas, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, and itching.
Side effects of Feldene that are different from Zipsor and Zorvolex include loss of appetite, upset stomach, elevated liver enzymes, bloating, gross bleeding/perforation, ulcers, nervousness, skin rash, blurred vision, and ringing in your ears.
Side effects of Zipsor and Zorvolex that are different from Feldene include arthritis, back pain, cough, drowsiness, high or low blood pressure, increased sweating, pain in extremities, runny or stuffy nose, sinus infection, upper respiratory tract infection, and urinary tract infection (UTI).
Both Feldene and Zipsor and Zorvolex may interact with alcohol, antidepressants, blood thinners, lithium, methotrexate, diuretics (water pills), steroids, aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and ACE inhibitors.
Zipsor and Zorvolex may also interact with cyclosporine.

What Drugs Interact With Feldene?
Feldene may interact with alcohol, antidepressants, blood thinners, lithium, methotrexate, diuretics (water pills), steroids, aspirin or other NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), or ACE inhibitors. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment with Feldene; it may harm a fetus. Taking Feldene during the last 3 months of pregnancy may harm the fetus. Do not take Feldene during pregnancy unless your doctor has told you to. Feldene can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
What Drugs Interact With Zipsor, Zorvolex?
Zipsor, Zorvolex may interact with aspirin and anticoagulants.
Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Zipsor is not recommended for use during pregnancy; it may harm a fetus. Starting at 30 weeks gestation, Zipsor should be avoided. It is unknown if Zipsor passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
How Should Feldene Be Taken?
For the relief of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, the recommended dose of Feldene is 20 mg given orally once per day. If desired, the daily dose may be divided.
How Should Zipsor, Zorvolex Be Taken?
The dosage of Zipsor, Zorvolex is 25 mg four times a day.
