Anoro Ellipta (umeclidinium and vilanterol) Inhalation Powder and Stiolto Respimat (tiotropium bromide and olodaterol) inhalation spray are combinations of anticholinergics and long acting beta-adrenoceptor agonists (LABAs) used for the long-term, once-daily, maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.
Side effects of Anoro Ellipta and Stiolto Respimat that are similar include sore throat, sinusitis, constipation, cough, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), itching, rash, and palpitations.
Side effects of Anoro Ellipta that are different from Stiolto Respimat include respiratory tract infection, diarrhea, pain in extremities, muscle spasms, neck pain, chest pain or discomfort, indigestion, abdominal pain, vomiting, weakness, irregular heartbeats, conjunctivitis, hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis and hives, changes in taste, tremor, and anxiety.
Side effects of Stiolto Respimat that are different from Anoro Ellipta include back pain, dehydration, dizziness, insomnia, glaucoma, blurred vision, fast heart rate, high blood pressure, nosebleed, difficulty speaking, laryngitis, dry mouth, oral thrush, difficulty swallowing, gum disease, swollen lips or tongue, hives, skin infection, dry skin, joint pain or swelling, urinary retention, difficulty urinating, and urinary tract infection (UTI).
Both Anoro Ellipta and Stiolto Respimat may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), antidepressants, beta-blockers, diuretics (water pills), and other anticholinergic drugs.
Stiolto Respimat may also interact with other adrenergic drugs, xanthine derivatives, steroids, and drugs that prolong QTc intervals.

What Drugs Interact With Anoro Ellipta?
Anoro Ellipta may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), antidepressants, beta blockers, diuretics, and other anticholinergic drugs. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During pregnancy, Anoro Ellipta should be used only if prescribed. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before taking Anoro Ellipta or if you become pregnant during treatment. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Stiolto Respimat may interact with other adrenergic drugs, xanthine derivatives, steroids, diuretics, non-potassium sparing diuretics, MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, drugs that prolong QTc intervals, beta-blockers, and other anticholinergics. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During pregnancy, Stiolto Respimat should be used only if prescribed. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
How Should Anoro Ellipta Be Taken?
Anoro Ellipta is administered as 1 inhalation dose once daily by the orally inhaled route only.
How Should Stiolto Respimat Be Taken?
The dose of Stiolto Respimat is two inhalations once-daily at the same time of day.
