What Is Thyquidity?
Thyquidity (levothyroxine sodium) is levothyroxine sodium (T4) indicated as replacement therapy in primary (thyroidal), secondary (pituitary), and tertiary (hypothalamic) congenital or acquired hypothyroidism; and as an adjunct to surgery and radioiodine therapy in the management of thyrotropin-dependent well-differentiated thyroid cancer.
What Are Side Effects of Thyquidity?
Side effects of Thyquidity include:
Dosage for Thyquidity
The starting dose of Thyquidity depends on a variety of factors, including age, body weight, cardiovascular status, and concomitant medical conditions (including pregnancy), concomitant medications, co-administered food, and the specific nature of the condition being treated. Peak therapeutic effect may not be attained for 4-6 weeks. Thyquidity should be administered once daily, preferably on an empty stomach, one-half to one hour before breakfast.
Thyquidity In Children
Safety and effectiveness of Thyquidity has been established for the treatment of congenital hypothyroidism and acquired hypothyroidism in pediatric patients down to birth.
What Drugs, Substances, or Supplements Interact with Thyquidity?
Thyquidity may interact with other medicines such as:
Thyquidity During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant before using Thyquidity; pregnancy may require the use of higher doses of Thyquidity. Thyquidity passes into breast milk. No adverse effects on breastfed infants have been reported and there is no information on the effects of Thyquidity on milk production. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
