Nyamyc Side Effects Center

Nyamyc (nystatin topical powder) is an antifungal antibiotic indicated in the treatment of cutaneous or mucocutaneous mycotic infections caused by Candida albicans and other susceptible Candida species. Common side effects of Nyamyc include:

  • allergic reactions
  • burning
  • itching
  • rash
  • eczema, and
  • pain on application

Apply a dose of Nyamyc powder to candidal lesions two or three times daily until healing is complete. Nyamyc may interact with other drugs. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During pregnancy, Nyamyc should be used only if prescribed. It is unknown if it would affect a fetus. It is unknown if Nyamyc passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Less serious side effects may include mild itching or irritation.
