Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using sodium chloride flush and call your doctor at once if you have any of these side effects while using the flush:
severe irritation;
swelling;
warmth;
redness;
oozing; or
pain.
Common side effects may include:
cold feeling or mild burning; or
mild irritation around the catheter.

Reactions which may occur because of the solution or the technique of administration
include febrile response, infection at the site of injection, venous thrombosis

patient, institute appropriate therapeutic countermeasures and save the remainder
of the fluid for examination if deemed necessary.
