What Is Nature-Throid?
Nature-Throid (thyroid) Tablets is a natural product made from porcine (pig) thyroid glands indicated as replacement of supplemental therapy in patients with hypothyroidism of any etiology, except transient hypothyroidism during the recovery phase of subacute thyroiditis; as pituitary TSH suppressants, in the treatment or prevention of various types of euthyroid goiters, including thyroid nodules, subacute, or chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (Hashimoto's), multinodular goiter, and in the management of thyroid cancer; and as diagnostic agents in suppression tests to differentiate suspected mild hyperthyroidism or thyroid gland anatomy. Side effects of Nature-Throid are rare and are usually related to therapeutic overdose.

The dosage of Nature-Throid is determined by the indication and must in every case be individualized according to patient response and laboratory findings.
What Drugs, Substances, or Supplements Interact with Nature-Throid?
Nature-Throid may interact with oral anticoagulants, insulin or oral hypoglycemics, cholestyramine, colestipol, estrogen, or oral contraceptives.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant before using Nature-Throid; it is not expected to be harmful to a fetus. Minimal amounts of thyroid hormones such as those in Nature-Throid pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
