Ergoloid Mesylates

Ergoloid mesylates are used to treat age-related mental decline and Alzheimer's dementia.

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Age-Related Mental Decline and Alzheimer's Dementia

• 1 mg orally every 8 hours
• May administer up to 4.5-12 mg/day therapeutic trial should be 6 months in duration

Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric patients.

Side effects of Ergoloid Mesylates may include.

• Flushing
• Headache
• Rash
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Nasal congestion
• Blurred vision
• Slow heart rate
• Dizziness on standing

• Ergoloid mesylates have serious interactions with at least 55 different drugs.
• Ergoloid mesylates have moderate interactions with at least 34 different drugs.
• Ergoloid mesylates have no listed mild interactions with other drugs.

Warnings

• This medication contains Ergoloid Mesylates. Do not take Hydergine if you are allergic to ergoloid mesylates or any ingredients contained in this drug.
• Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity, psychosis; consider other central nervous systems (CNS) diseases before starting
• CYP3A4 inhibitors (azole antifungals, protease inhibitors, macrolide antibiotics)
