What Is Audenz?

Audenz (influenza A (H5N1) monovalent vaccine, adjuvanted) is an inactivated vaccine used for active immunization for the prevention of disease caused by the influenza A virus H5N1 subtype contained in the vaccine. Audenz is approved for use in persons 6 months of age and older at increased risk of exposure to the influenza A virus H5N1 subtype contained in the vaccine.

What Are Side Effects of Audenz?

Side effects of Audenz include:

  • injection site pain or tenderness,
  • fatigue,
  • headache,
  • feeling unwell (malaise),

Dosage for Audenz

The dose of Audenz is two doses (0.5 mL each) administered 21 days apart.

Safety and effectiveness of Audenz in infants younger than 6 months have not been established.
