Hypertropia
Hypertropia
Hypertropia is a variety of heterotropia in which there is manifest upward vertical deviation of the visual axis of one eye. Using the cover test, this manifests as downward movement of the uncovered eye. Depending on the affected eye, this finding is often described as a "leftover right" or "right-over left."
Asymptomatic hypertropia on lateral gaze is often congenital or physiological.
