Definition of Neuro-Ophthalmic Examination
Neuro-ophthalmic examination is a form of physical examination of the eyes including the function of the nerves that control vision and eye movements. The neuro-ophthalmological examination includes testing of visual acuity, visual fields, retina and optic disc, color vision, pupils, depth perception, the external appearance of the eyes and lids, and the pupils as well as an evaluation of eye movements.
